A heart that beats
Sporadically
Eyes that have tears
Incessantly
The only change
Between you gone
And I spent waiting
Silent screams
Awaken me
The fragrance of your touch
Gone forever
Stack of clothes
Untouched
Numerous letters
Unopened
The façade of love
Exists no more
Yet
A heart beats
Sporadically
Eyes have tears
Incessantly
The water that drips
The candle that flickers
Bring back memories
Meant to be
Forgotten
The deception
Is a nightmare
The door
To the heart now locked
Forever
The scar
That never heals
Maimed by emotions
Yet
A heart beats
Sporadically
Eyes have tears
Incessantly
The cackle
Of dissonant voices
Fill the room
And all remains
Is a pithy analysis that
Resonates with the soul
Nothing changed
Nothing moved
Amidst the humdrum
Just a different life happened
Waiting
This post is inspired by the Story Challenge: Letter “W” posted by Frizztext. Couldn’t think of any of my stories with W so a poem instead for the pic!
PS: I’ve tried everything but for some reason I’m unable to add any line breaks in between so the poem just reads as one.

lovely lines..resounds the wait!! and the new theme is awesome!
Just tried something with the pic. Happy you could connect! :-) And yea even i love this new theme! :-)
Very nostalgic. Oftimes the thrill of the anticipation, the waiting itself, is stronger and more intense than the actual thing. :)
I couldn’t agree more with that. Sometimes, it’s the waiting that gives you the high. Thanks for dropping by! :-)
VERY well written! this poem oozes ‘longing’ & ‘yearning’ in every line… it’s really moving. kudos!
Thanks, girl. Glad you could feel that! :-)
Hugs!

Untouched – ”
I nailed some clothes on the wall
not to forget some seasons
