This summer we visited Yosemite National Park and witnessed waterfalls in all its glory. We were also in awe of the majestic mountains. Just posting a few pics of that trip for this Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge this week. Also, on one of our trips to San Francisco the flowers were on full bloom on the world’s most crooked street (Lombard Street). It was fun capturing the street and the flowers. Thought of including that as well.
As they say, it’s the journey, not the destination that matters. The last few days we spent amidst the snow clad mountains and had the most amazing time. We started our journey with a beautiful sunrise and then went on to see the most beautiful rainbow I’ve seen in a very long time. Past the cloudy skies we were greeted with the fresh snow which took our breath away. We are back home refreshed and spirited and look forward to another family trip, whenever that happens.. :-)
Every week Sethsnap posts a pic to write a story or poem or a caption on. Here’s my Haiku attempt on the pic!
Grey skies, barren trees
Add rain to the scenery
Nature’s artistry
Winter Iciness
Snowstorm brewing on the hills
The view entrancing
I read KZ‘s beautiful Haiku post which led me to the challenge being posted by Allaboutlemon. So here’s my entry for the Haiku challenge. It’s my first time trying a Haiku so I maybe a bit off. Oh! well, I tried! :-)
* Pic from the net.
* Edit: I didn’t realize that the challenge was for a specific pic so here’s the pic for the challenge and the Haiku. Didn’t turn out as well, I know :!
Hey! Polar Bear
Superman here to rescue
You need not worry
Standing on the porch, feeling the rain droplets on her face, she was reminded of his smile. She knew this was it. It was time. She closed her eyes and saw his face. One last time. Felt contended and breathed her last.
Only to be with him. Forever. Happily ever after.
